Lola has been in great spirits of late, thankfully less resentful of the new addition of her little sister.

We allow her to pick her own clothes, which has been QUITE a fashion statement (ie a blue turtleneck and her green athletic shorts -- a favorite of late -- complete with Ugg-type boots and a pink purse).

Poor Lucy is sick. She has two ear infections. As sick as she is, she still manages to eek out a smile when we look at her and coo. This is not her first ear infection, and I hope she doesn't become THAT kid, the one who is always sick...I just want her to be safe, happy, healthy.

I so hope the girls love each other as they grow up, and become great friends and comrades.

Lucy has rolled over! Twice, in fact (last night and this morning). Unfortunately, we haven't actually SEEN her do it (oopsie), but the proof was in the pudding.

Last night we tried to get Lucy to sleep in her crib. She fell asleep at 5pm. We woke her up at 8pm or so so we could keep her up as much as we could and really try to get her to sleep through the night. Within the hour, she was asleep again, on her playmat.

She woke up at 2:30am, and I tiptoed in (as to not wake up Lola) and gave her a pacifier, and she went back to sleep and woke up at 4:30am, and then right back to sleep and woke up at 7am.

We're so close for her to go through the night; we're trying to keep her up longer so she doesn't pass out so early in the evening, but sometimes a girl has just got to go to sleep.

Like mother like daughter. Lucy saw her first movie today. Every Monday some of the local movie theaters have "Mommy and Me Movies" where parents can bring their babies. Lucy, Mommy and Mama saw "Fun With Dick and Jane." Lucy sat in her car seat the entire time with a huge grin on her face. She loved it. Our future couch potato.

Why say it when you can scream it? This is Lola's latest philosophy. Since she can talk so much, she feels the world must know everything immediately and at high volume.

Lola can also knows left and right, can sing her abc's and likes to hug her cousin Jack (although he's not always appreciative of her gestures).

Lucy is as cute as can be; she is still super-easy going and her sleeping is getting much better. She charms Mama and Mommy with lots of smiles and giggles.

Juliet picked up Lucy's birth certificate today and both Stephanie and Juliet are listed as parents. It's very exciting; Juliet has full legal custody of Lucy! We are working on getting Lola's birth certificate amended so that Stephanie will be on it, too.

On a completely different note - Lola peed on the potty for the first time today!

The Henderson-Thomas girls (and dogs) just got back from a vacation in Pine Mountain, CA. Everyone had a great time, but especially Lola and the dogs. Lola, because she got to play with her beloved cousins and Auntie and Uncle almost everyday, and the dogs because they got to be off leash and frolic much more than they do at home!

Stephanie went back to work today and Juliet is at home with Lucy. Lucy continues to grow (and grow and grow). She's now almost 14 1/2 lbs and Juliet's back hurts. Lola was that weight around 7 months!
