Today was definitely a Lucy day. Our friend Dawn came to visit us for a couple of days with her babies Ethan and Vivian.
This morning I heard the nervous calls of "Mama, Mama" and found Lucy standing straight up in the toilet (this was after last week, when I caught her "freshening up" in the same toilet - and about a month after a friend found her at the base of another friend's toilet, splashing around with toilet cleaner in her hand).
She also, of course, was able to pull out a plug from the wall, lick it, and started to try to put it back in the socket...
Today she also pulled out a chair and climbed up on the kitchen table.
She also climbed on top of our "office" table and got stuck on her stomach, on our computer keyboard with a pencil in her hand, unable to get down by herself. I think she poked her mouth with the pencil because she said "ow" and kept rubbing her mouth.
Lucy also kept saying "pee pee" and she opened up the bathroom door and stood at the toilet, saying "pee pee" -- so I took off her diaper, sat her on the toilet, and she grabbed some toilet paper, wiped herself, and ... didn't pee.
Lucy also thought it'd be funny to find some tortilla chips, open the bag, turn it upside down and pour out all the contents onto the floor. And then stomp on them so they would be mere crumbles on the floor.
And, lastly, when I was channel surfing, Lucy starting waving her arms and kinda grunting when she saw a BULL RIDING competition (interestingly, Lola also wanted to watch the bull riding competition several weeks ago).
She put her arms up the air (if you ever watch bull riding, you might notice that the riders put one arm in the air as they ride) and looked at her rocking horse.
I got the horse for her; she crawled on it, and rocked back and forth, with one arm in the air. She laughed and laughed. And then she fell off, again and again, just like the riders did.
The girl's got humor.
