this morning after i got lola dressed (!), i went to look for lucy. she was hiding behind the easel in lola's room, which i thought was cute.
well, what i didn't see at the time (but several minutes later, when i went back) was that lucy was wielding a pen in her hand and she colored lola's wall in two different colors.
i remained calm because i was pretty sure that these markers were the erasable ones that i bought. so i put the pens away and looked at the box.
and they're not the washable ones.Comments:Cari: miss you guys. los angeles isn't the same w/o you. love the site and check it often. the girls are growing up so fast!!!!Bonnie: And, so, WHY would you have NON washable pens in the house with a 1 and 3 year old????? The visual of your face is VERY funny!Add a comment:

I was so proud of Lola today.
I stayed late at the girls daycare in order to speak to the Executive Director about some board issues, and some martial artist guy came in to the center to show some martial arts moves. So I decided to stay and peek so neither Lola or Lucy could see me...
At some point in time, the guy started doing some somersaults, and he picked a few little kids (only one girl) to do some somersaults, too. Then I hear Lola exclaim loudly, "I would like to do it!" or "I can do that" or something like that. And he called her up, she listened to his instructions, and, well, the the somersault she did was terrible, but I was so proud of her wanting to do something she hadn't done before in front of the whole daycare!
